Bacon Toothpicks
This makes an edible toothpick for your Hors D'oeuvres.
What better way to serve a snack than to give it a handle that can be eaten.
You could make these kicked up a bit by dredging them in my Cocoa Rub, before placing them in the oven.
1. Make sure that you've purchased a REAL THICK bacon. A thin one won't work for this recipe.
Slice the bacon on a diagonal making 3/8" x 2" pieces.
2. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet, and bake at 325 degrees until all the fat has been rendered, and the bacon is crisp, not burnt. it will take 15 - 20 minutes.
