Butt Kickin' Cocoa Rub

Use this to pre-season meat prior to cooking. You can also use it as a marinade by oiling the meat, then coating with the rub, and leaving it in a refrigerator overnight.

The cocoa powder gives a more complex flavor to the blend, and cuts down some of the heat from the blacken.

  • 1 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Butt Kickin' Blacken
  • 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Kosher Salt

Mix it all together being careful to break up any lumps of the sugar.

Use this as a marinade, by first coating the meat with a little oil then rubbing this blendin REAL good. Let it marinate at least 4 hours, but overnight is better.
